On June 21, 2025, during the Day of the Composer, pianist Tamara Laverman will premiere the work 'Tonenspel'. This work features an interactive dialogue between a computer (which controls an acoustic MIDI grand piano) and the pianist.
Tonenspel is structured like a game, consisting of multiple self-contained scenes. The performer makes real-time decisions about which scene to move to next and plays or responds within each scene according to a set of predefined rules. Depending on the active scene, the computer generates tones, which are played through the MIDI piano.
This project is made possible by the support of the Performing Arts Fund NL. There is a limited number of seats available. Reserve your free ticket here.
