Soon Arno Groeneveld will take his leave as conductor of Kunst Na Arbeid Hierden. To celebrate the fine period that Arno has been conductor of KNA and to conclude pleasantly, KNA will give a concert on February 3, 2024 in the Rumels entitled “Let's toast”. During this concert we will look back on the 15 years Arno has been conductor of KNA. We will do this in a cozy pub atmosphere with a real pub landlord (Gerrit van den Berg), who will tell stories with members and audience.This is interspersed with famous Dutch songs sung by the landlord.
Special guests this evening are the 4 members of musical collective BURGerlijk from Zwolle. These talented and versatile musicians, who met while studying at the ArtEZ conservatory, will add lustre to the music of KNA. A special feature this evening is that Bright Future will be performed for the first time. This composition of Arend Gerds has won KNA by April 14, 2023 champion of the 4th division at the Open Dutch Fanfare Championships.
