Wild Flower
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.

The composition Wild Flower, from which the title comes from the poem above (William Blake), was written for Brass band Wilhelmina Kollum (led by Koen van der Molen) on the occasion of their 125th anniversary. 'A land of pure delight' (Beulah), by request of the commissioner, forms the basis of this composition, which is about hope, happiness and finding beauty in little things. The composition celebrates the fact that for 125 years, Chr. Brass Band Wilhelmina Kollum has provided its musicians with the opportunity to find happiness and beauty in music.
