Kobes

The composition 'Kobes' gives musical expression to the story of Grupjan from Den Ham, who, years after losing his daughter in a tragic bus accident, comes into possession of a letter containing a musical solo and a personal message. For Grupjan, music had always been inextricably linked to his traumatic experience: the loss of his daughter. The letter, imbued with musical meaning, brings reconciliation and acceptance, and restores his personal connection with music. Music as comfort, as connection, and as an expression of emotions that words sometimes cannot convey. This composition was written for muziekvereniging Juliana from Den Ham, commissioned by the foundation 'Hej ‘t al eheurd' , on the occasion of the theatrical production KOBES.
